Air-Fuel Ratio Rod

• Replaces the function of the pressure switch, which is used in all existing models. Blockage of the intake or exhaust vent will adversely affect the flame condition, which the air-fuel ratio rod detects.

Freeze Protection

• In addition to the ceramic heaters for freeze protection, the heater will ignite to protect the heat exchanger. The freeze protection is rated down to 5ºF in a wind-free environment

The DHC-E has two temperature sensors and one flow sensor which feed their readings into the unit’s proprietary microprocessor control. Three heating elements are engaged in stages, achieving the temperature you desire. The DHC-E continually monitors the water temperature it produces and does not allow the water temperature to go above 125°F (52°C), which eliminates the possiblility that scalding may occur. DHC-E Tankless Electric Water Heaters deliver instant hot water. There is no need for a T & P valve, drain or mixing valve, due to the advances introduced with the DHC-E. Saftey Features:

• First is the OXYGEN DEPLETION SENSING system (Indoor Model Only). Emissions from the sampling burner are constantly analyzed for carbon monoxide gas. If necessary, the fan speed is adjusted by the on board CPU. If the fan speed adjustments do not resolve the combustion problem, the burner will be turned off and a potentially dangerous situation avoided. An error message will be displayed.
• Second is the FILM TYPE OVERHEAT SENSING. This senses high temperature at all positions surrounding the combustion chamber. Other manufactures only sense at one point on the combustion chamber.
